CT ARTISTS UPLIFT THE PATIENT EXPERIENCE AT FAIRFIELD CANCER CENTER- OPENING MAY 2025
Picture That Art Consultants has recently sourced artwork for Fairfield Cancer Center, the first Hartford HealthCare (HHC) satellite cancer center in Fairfield, CT, and also HHC's first partnership with Memorial Sloan Kettering formed in 2024. The groundbreaking facility is located on Black Rock Turnpike and is conveniently off The Merritt Parkway.
Picture That Art Consultants curates fine art projects for Hartford Healthcare facilities throughout CT. Co-Curators for Fairfield Cancer Center, Valerie A. Cooper and Emily Derr, identified the perfect combination of CT-based artists whose artwork creates an uplifting and tranquil environment for patients, their families, staff and visitors. Artwork themes include CT based landscapes, waterscapes, botanicals, and also colorful yet calming abstracts.
Picture That and Hartford HealthCare congratulate the following CT artists whose paintings, works on paper and assemblages have been acquired for Fairfield Cancer Center's art collection: Jean Benoit (Stamford, CT), Catherine Elliott (Simsbury, CT), Cheryl Davis (Canton, CT), Tim Eaton (Stamford, CT), JAHMANE (Norwalk, CT), Cheryl D. Miller (Stamford, CT), Dorothy Robertshaw (Westport, CT) and Alissa Siegal (Stamford, CT). In addition, New England ceramic artist Natalie Blake was commissioned to create Ceramic Healing Disks and Healing Pods.
The art installation is scheduled for April and a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the opening of the Fairfield Cancer Center in May 2025.
